About us
Katya’s great musical talent and skill has led her to appear on television shows like: Saturday Night Live, Late Night with David Letterman, The Latin Grammys, The Carson Daily Show, Good Morning America and Weekend Today. Many know Katya for her run as both dancer and assistant choreographer for superstar Beyoncé, others will recognize her as one of the background singers in Snarky Puppy’s Grammy winning Family Dinner Vol.1 (“Something”, Layla Hathaway).
Hierro’s production is known for pushing the latin genre forward with his fresh take on traditional styles. His production and songwriting credits include Leslie Grace, Sebastian Yatra, Tini and Greeicy. In 2020, Chris produced the song “For Sale” by Carlos Vives & Alejandro Sanz which went on to win the Latin grammy for Best Contemporary/Tropical Fusion Album (“Cumbiana”). Shorty after, queen of merengue Milly Quezada’s 2022 album “Resistirá”, titled after Chris’ original composition and produced by him in its entirety caught fire and was also nominated for a Latin Grammy.
Chris and Katya met while both were accompanying Alejandro Sanz on his 2012 tour (La Música No Se Toca). Their chemistry was undeniable, leading to the formation of the duo which went on to collaborate with notable latin artists like Debi Nova, Andrea Echavarría (Aterciopelados), Andres Levin, Ceci Bastida, hit writer Claudia Brant (“El Muro”) and Latin Grammy winning producer/DJ Cruz (“Por Ti Vendré”) among others. Their work can be heard on the soundtrack of the Netflix original series “It’s Bruno” and on Trinidad’s beloved Kes the band’s latin/soca fusion turned carnival hit “Body Talk”. They lent their voices to the hit “Lejos de Ti”, serving as the backdrop to the climactic scene of the 2018 remake of the classic Hollywood film: “Overboard” (Eugenio Derbez, Anna Faris).
